Dirty Floors from Muddy Paws

“The doormat that magically soaks up water, mud, and dirt”

There are three things in the pet world that do not mix well together – dogs, clean floors, and rain. We have four dogs and laminate floors, and while it’s better than carpet, a breeze it is not.  Since our house has dark flooring throughout, even the slightest sprinkle outside wreaks havoc on them with paw trails – from the mudroom, into the kitchen, and then into the living room. I, being the cleaner of floors, was fed up.

Enter the Dirty Dog Doormat. I have pondered time and time again on trying one of these mats, but I just never did, until recently.  Now, I will never be without one (or three) again!  These cute rugs have given me my sanity back.  Why, do you ask?  Because they work!  And when I say they work, I mean they work at taking care of a multitude of issues.

At first we just bought a medium rug to go in front of the door that the dogs use that leads into the mud room.  However, we have a Great Pyrenees and, due to his size, he just stepped right over it. So we purchased an additional runner rug that none of the dogs could by-pass.

One thing you will want to note, these rugs are very plush, thus very thick.  If you have a door that is low to the floor, you may not be able to put the mat right in front of the door, otherwise the door will not open correctly. We took care of that issue by using an indoor/outdoor rug just inside the door, and slightly overlapping the runner rug over it, and then the medium size rug after the runner, just for good measure (and to continue the cute paw print design into our kitchen).

Lois Lane likes to lay on the rugs since they are so plush and soft. Our new pup, Claire, had a wee accident on it and it didn’t even come close to soaking through to the floor. Buddy and the AOP Gang give the Dirty Dog Doormat 5 paws up!
